Configure your store costs

Why this matters most

Without costs, every analytics tool shows the same thing: revenue. Vertex's profit engine needs your real cost structure to compute net profit. Five minutes here pays for itself every day after.

The fields (Settings → Store Costs)

1. 1COGS % — what your products cost you, as a percentage of revenue.
2. 2Shipping per order — your average outbound shipping cost (SAR).
3. 3Payment fee % — gateway fees (Mada/Visa/Tabby etc.).
4. 4VAT % — treated as INCLUDED in your prices: vat = revenue × r ÷ (100 + r), so margins aren't overstated.
5. 5Monthly operational costs + salaries — pro-rated per day into the P&L.
6. 6COD failure % — Gulf-specific: refused cash-on-delivery orders still cost you the outbound shipping.
